Obituary

Jerry Hawley, age 71 of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2006 in Ft. Smith. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. He began work in 1954 at Hiram Walker and retired as the Manager of Bulk Operations in 1995.He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Ruth Hawley of the home; one daughter, Pam Bjerk of Chillicothe, Ill; four sons, Curt Hawley of Phoenix, AZ, Craig Hawley of Chandler, AZ, David Meints of Milwaukee, WI, and Scott Meints of Chillicothe, Ill; one sister Mary Jo Smith of Canyon Lake, CA; one brother, Ben Hawley of Chillicothe, Ill and 13 grandchildren.Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2006 at Calvary Baptist Church in Chillicothe. The Pastor Curt Cochran will officiate. Visitation will be Friday, June 2, 2006 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Additional visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Chillicothe City Cemetery in Chillicothe, Illinois. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary, Fort Smith Arkansas and Weber-Hurd Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Illinois.
