William K. Whaley, Jr.

William Kenneth Whaley Jr. (Bill), age 65, of Chillicothe, passed away at his home on Friday, September 29, 2023.

Bill was born on June 13, 1958, in Peoria, Illinois, to the late William Kenneth and Shirley Mae (Gibson) Whaley. 

Surviving are his son, Jason (Melinda) Whaley of Lincoln, AR; his sisters, Susan Whaley and Cindy (Donald) Ernst, both of Chillicothe; and one nephew, Chris Gilles of Peoria.

Bill was a mechanic for many years and worked for Chillicothe Metal.  He was a member of the Peoria Casting Club and enjoyed fishing.

Services will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe.  Rev. Edward Dutton will officiate.  Visitation will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. also at the funeral home.  Burial will follow the service at LaSalle Cemetery in Rome.
