William Taylor

William "Dick" R.. Taylor, Jr., 71, of Chillicothe passed away on Monday, Oct. 22, 2018 at his home. Dick was born on June 23, 1947 in Peoria the son of William R. and Hazel M. (Mercer) Taylor, Sr. He married Michaelina "Mikki" M. Michaels on Jan. 16, 2004 in Peoria. Surviving is his wife, Mikki Taylor of Chillicothe; two step-children, Gina (Brian) White of Chillicothe and Tony (Angela) Prayne of Edelstein; grandchildren, Haley White, Taylor White, Cailin (Eric) Jackson of East Peoria, Lauren Divet and Jacob Prayne; great grandchildren Reagan, Claire and Paige; and one sister, Ginger Magner of Peoria. He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson Jared Prayne, and one great granddaughter Scarlet Jackson. Dick was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Dick was a union laborer for Ratliff Brothers and Company located in Kewanee. He was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church, very active with Cursillo, Pearce Community Center, and a former member of the St. Mark's Dartball Team. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Edward Catholic Church in Chillicothe. Msgr. Michael Bliss will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service time at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
