William Eric Matthews, age 53, of Chillicothe, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at his home.
Eric was born on January 4, 1968 in Peoria, IL to William Floyd and Margaret M. (Kamman) Matthews.
Surviving are his sister, Erin (Mike) Corwin of Lafayette, IN; his nephew, Ethan Salazar and niece, Elena Corwin; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Eric worked for Caterpillar until he retired.
Services will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 11am at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe with visitation held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at 4pm on Saturday at Edgar Cemetery in Paris, Illinois. Memorials may be made in Eric's name to the charity of the donor's choice.
