Wayne Wilkins

Wayne Wilkins, 73, of Chillicothe left us to join the Lord on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018 Wayne was born on August 30, 1945 in Peoria the son of Glenn and Eleanor (Brautigam) Wilkins. Wayne served as a Sea Bee in the Navy during his tour in Vietnam. Wayne worked for Caterpiller, Inc. and retired with 30 years. He was an avid stock car racer and a fan of racing, he had a love for anything fast. Was also a sports fan. Loved to spend time with his wife and family. Surviving is his wife, Marilyn (Crotz) Wilkins, whom he married on June 22, 1984 in Peoria. His children, Bud (Mary) Wilkins, Bill Wilkins, Chuck (Angie) Rosenberger, Lynette (Perry) Birkner; twelve grandchildren; six great grandchildren and a sister, Carol Gelling. A celebration of life will be held at the VFW Post 4999, 1725 North Santa Fe Avenue, Chillicothe from 2-5:00 pm on Sat. Sept. 8th. Memorials may be made to the Veteran's Memorial.
