Timothy Ritchie

Timothy John Ritchie, age 70, of Dunlap, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home.

Tim was born on February 1, 1952 in Peoria, Illinois to Jack L. and Marie H. (Olivetti) Ritchie.

Surviving are his daughter, Maire Kate Ritchie of Dunlap; his brother, Michael (Jeanine) Ritchie of Tiffin, IA; his sister, Maureen Schmidt of Groveland, IL; and six nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother-in-law, Daniel Schmidt.

Tim was an engineer for Caterpillar for 35 years when he retired in 2008.  He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, the Chillicothe Sportmans Club, TKE Fraternity, Ducks Unlimited, the National Rifle Association and the Amateur Trap Shooting Association.

Cremation rites will be accorded a memorial Mass will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 11am at St. Jude Catholic Church in Peoria with visitation held one hour prior to the service.  Fr. Patrick Henehan will officiate.  Burial of ashes will be at Chillicothe City Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the church or the Michael J. Fox Foundation.  Arrangements are under the care of Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
