Thomas William Russell, age 58, of Chillicothe, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at his home.
Tom was born on January 27, 1961 in Peoria to Thomas H. and Janet E. (King) Russell. He married Georgette on December 7, 1998.
Surviving are his wife, Georgette; his mother, Janet Russell of Brimfield; his children, Jeremy (Jaclyn) Koll, Leena (Thomas) LeTexier, and Chelsie and Cooper Russell; his step-son, Tyler Burns and eight grandchildren. Also surviving are his sister, Julie Boland of Peoria; his brother, Mike (Ellen) Russell of Peoria Heights; his father-in-law, Lester (Theresa) Price; his sister-in-law, Cecile Swarthout and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Russell and his grandfather, Howard Russell.
Tom worked for Caterpillar for over 34 years. He was a member of the Mohammed Shrine, the Peoria Casting Club and the Chillicothe Recreation Area. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing horseshoes, camping, baseball and softball.
Tom's family would like to thank the wonderful health care providers and his caring friends for all their care, love and support through these difficult years and his long battle with cancer.
Cremation rites will be accorded and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 from 1pm to 3pm at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
