Thomas Lanning

Thomas Dale Lanning, 58, of Peoria passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Tom was born on November 18,1959 in Carthage the son of Dale and Ethel E. (May) Lanning. Tom is survived by his wife, Ardith I. (Waltman) Lanning whom he married on June 12, 1988; four children, Eric (Brooke) Lanning of Chicago, Joshua (Heather) Lanning of Healdsburg, CA, Kayla (Jeff) Deeds of Washingon, and Jenni (Andy) Burch of Peoria; seven grandchildren, Emma, Isaac, Ethan, Oliver, Grayson, Elvah, and Isla; and one brother, Robert (Pat) Oatman of Austin TX. He was preceded in death by his parents. Tom was the manager for National Coating and Supplies for 25 years. He was a member of Riverside Community Church. Tom liked NASCAR and watching, "The Walking Dead". He loved to BBQ, he was a member of the Kansas City Barbecue Society. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Cumerford-Hurd Funeral Home in Peoria. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 11:00 am at Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
