Thomas A. Kinnary, 78, of Lacon passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018 at OSF Medical Center, Peoria. He was born on July 29, 1940 in Joliet the son of Toivo and Elna (Michelson) Kinnary. He married Beverly Jane Placher on February 18, 1961 in Joliet. Surviving is one daughter, Cindy (Marty) Miller of Virginia, IL; three sons, Michael (Tiffany) Kinnary of Caledonia, MI, Craig (Angela) Kinnary of Wentzville, MO, and Mark Kinnary of Mendota; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Juanita Pierman and Shiela (Charles) McKinney both of Pentwater, MI; two brothers, Fred (Connie) Kinnary of Plainfield and Ray (Diane) Kinnary of Joliet. Thomas was a conductor for the Santa Fe Railroad for over 42 years before he retired. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, playing golf, and NASCAR. He was also an avid lottery player. Thomas was a very kind person, he never met a stranger, but most of all he was a family man. A funeral service for Thomas will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 11:00 am at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday evening from 5-7:00 pm and one hour prior to the service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Chillicothe City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Legion Post 9, Chillicothe.
