Shelia Shover

Shelia J. Shover, age 74, of Chillicothe, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.

Shelia was born on February 2, 1948 in Joplin, MO to Lewis and Marian (Shelly) Victor.  She married Daniel Shepard in November of 1965 and he preceded her in death on July 7, 1980.  Also preceding her in death are her parents and her sister, Shelley Deppolder.

Surviving are her daughters, Robin (Steve) Miller of Chillicothe and Amy Ferrell of Elmwood; her grandchildren, Amber Miller, Samantha (Derick) Husong and Hanna Ferrell; her great-grandchildren, Brody Miller, Payge and Aubree Husong and Sadie Dixon; and her sister Vicki Brown of Mason City.

Shelia began working for her parents company, Midwest Construction Services, in Bartonville when she was 16 years old.  She eventually took over the business and continued to run until she passed. She loved her work and was named Illinois Business Woman of the Year a few times.  She enjoyed reading scuba diving and flying in her plane.  Most importantly she loved her family and spending time with them.  She also loved her dog, Bailey.
