Sharon Van Ostrand

Sharon K. Van Ostrand, age 52, of Peoria, formerly of Chillicothe, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2023 at her home.

Sharon was born on March 21, 1971 in Peoria, IL to Walter Wayne and Mary Anita (Beaumont) Van Ostrand.

Surviving are her brother, Paul (Leona) Van Ostrand of Rio Rancho, NM; her sister-in-law, Susie Van Ostrand of Chillicothe, IL; her nieces and nephews, Amanda, Chelsea, and Justin Van Ostrand, all of New Mexico, and Theran Van Ostrand of Rhode Island, Shayna Van Ostrand of California, and Logan Van Ostrand of Chillicothe, IL; and many great-nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert.

Sharon graduated from Marceline High School and then from the University of Central Missouri in December 1993 with a degree in accounting.  She worked for Hunzeker Service Agency in Peoria from 1998 to 2017, Apples Bakery from 2008 to 2015, and Chillicothe Park District from 2013 to present as well as the Chillicothe Town Theatre.  She enjoyed crocheting and cross stitch and was an avid collector of Jewel Tea dishes.
