Sean K. Gillen, 32, of Peoria passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
Sean was born on March 2, 1987 in Mountain Home, ID the son of Olivia O. Wertz-Gillen and Robert J. Gillen.
Sean is survived by his mother, Olivia O. Wertz-Gillen of Peoria, his brother, Stuart H. (Sandra) Wertz and their children Ella, Gabriel, Owen and William of Colorado Springs, CO, his brother, Seth Gillen of Fort Benning, GA. and his girlfriend Jodi Stumbaugh. He was preceded in death by his father.
Sean was a coach and personal trainer, he owned and operated KG Performance in Mossville.
Sean was a graduate of Peoria Notre Dame where he was an assistant football and track and field coach. He graduated from Monmouth College in 2009.
A Mass of Christian Burial is to be offered at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at St. Jude Catholic Church located at 10811 N. Knoxville Ave, Peoria, IL 61615. Viewing will be held 1-hour prior. Cremation rite will be accorded following the mass.
Memorials may be made to the Peoria Notre Dame Scholarship Fund.
