Sandra S. Schuman, age, 74, of Chillicothe, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021 at UnityPoint Health Proctor in Peoria.
Sandra was born on December 20, 1946 in Canton, Illinois to Dale and Betty Smith. She married Leon M. Schuman on September 13, 1963 and he survives.
Also surviving is her sister, Patricia Fowler; her children; Amy Tiff and Greg Schuman, her grandchildren; Justin and Megan, and great-grandchild Madilyn. Preceding her death are her parents and her brother, Mike Smith.
Sandy enjoyed taking care of her family, was a loving nanny by profession, and was known for her cooking including bagna cauda. She had a strong love for dogs, horses and squirrels.
Cremation rites will be accorded and a private life celebration will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Stray Animal Midway Shelter (SAMS), www.samsrescue.org
