Samuel D. Jeffries

Samuel David Jeffries, age 34, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023 at his home.

Sam was born on July 23, 1988 in Peoria, IL to Jerry Lee and Lisa Ann (Joyce) Jeffries.  He is survived by his parents of Chillicothe; his daughter, Nilah Ann Jeffries of Chillicothe; his brothers, Alex (Dorothy) Jeffries of Chillicothe and Gabriel Jeffries of Pekin, IL; his nieces, Vivian, Caroline and Maxine; and his paternal grandmother, Grace Jeffries.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jeffrey Jeffries; maternal grandmother, Mary Jean Joyce; and his great-grandparents, Vernon and Antonia Jeffries, Virgil Thomas and Kathryn Potts.

Sam enjoyed spending time with his daughter, Nilah, and his family.  He was an amazing song writer and guitarist.

Cremation rites will be accorded and a private family gathering will be held near his birthday.  Arrangements are under the care of Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
