Ruth Egart

PEORIA- Ruth Ann Egart, 96, of Peoria, passed away Thursday, February 8th, at Cornerstone Health Care. Born April 8th, 1921, at OSF in Peoria, IL, to Kathryn (Hogan) Hamalle and John E. Hamalle , she married Frank Egart on February 10th, 1940, in Davenport, Iowa. Frank passed away on January, 21, 1993, in Peoria. Also preceding her in death were her parents and her sister, Jeanette Pickert. Surviving are her 3 daughters, Kathy (Cecil) Shoemaker of Lafayette, IN, Becky (Dave) Glavash of Peoria, and Christy Egart of Peoria; 4 grandchildren, Chris (Kendall) Glavash of Greenwood, IN, Emily (J.D.) Finch of Lafayette, IN, Zach Glavash of Austin, TX, Elissa Glavash of Chicago, IL; and 2 great-grandchildren, Sam Glavash and River Finch. She had been a member of Unity Church, their Morning Glory Classes, and Chillicothe Home Extension. Ruth was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. Sincere thanks are extended to Cornerstone Health Care and to Ruth and Masheeda of Harbor Light Hospice. Memorials may be given to Unity Church of Peoria, Peoria Rescue Mission, or donor's choice. Cremations rites have been accorded by Weber-Hurd Funeral Home.
