Richard L. "Snarf" Kirman, 64, of Chillicothe passed away on Friday, January 20, 2017 in Peoria. Richard was born on August 29, 1952 in Kewanee, the son of Everett and Helen (Ouart) Kirman. Surviving are two sons, Robert (Tiffany) Kirman of Lawton, OK and Chad (Stephanie) Kirman of Chillicothe; five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister. Richard graduated from Kewanee High School in 1970. After high school he was employed as a lineman by General Telephone Company for 31 years before retiring. Later he enjoyed antique tractors and traveling with his family. He helped out various organizations in town when and how he could. He was a Past President and lifetime member of the Peoria Casting Club as well as American Legion Post #9. "Snarf," as he was known, always had a nickname for everybody.
