Raymond Fernandez

Raymond Fernandez, age 85, of Chillicothe, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2019 at Generations at Peoria. Raymond was born on July 5, 1933 in Niota, IL to Antonio and Susana (Zavala) Fernandez.  He married Audrey Townsend on June 27, 1981 in Peoria and she preceded him in death on November 15, 2015.  Surviving are his sister, Lupe O'Bryant and many nieces and nephews. Ray served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.  He then worked for Pabst Brewery in Peoria Heights.  Ray was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church in Chillicothe and the VFW. Cremation rites will be accorded and a graveside service will be held at Chillicothe City Cemetery in the spring.  Arrangements were handled through Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
