Perlie Coletrain

Perlie L. “Bill” Coletrain, Jr., age 89, of Chillicothe, passed away and left this Earth with the angels on Thursday, March 10, 2022.

Perlie was born on October 12, 1932 in Goldsboro, NC to Perlie L. and Leona (Bradford) Coletrain, Sr.  He married Gloria Huckabee on May 20, 1955.  Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Gloria; his children, Ron (Cheri) Coletrain of Lacon, IL and Tammy Callison of Livingston, LA; his grandchildren, Vanessa (Ryan Cullen) Coletrain, Zach (Lauren) Coletrain, Nicole (Colby Clark) Callison and Nathan Callison; his great-grandchildren, Macy, Forest and Flint Coletrain and Lily Clark; and his sister, Betty Lou Alexander of Goldsboro, NC.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Charles Coletrain and his sister, Carol Ann Lane.

Perlie served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years as well as the Reserves for another 4 years.  He retired from the Operating Engineers Local 649 after 50 years and he was an EMT and Vice President of Rescue 33.   He was member of the George Washington Lodge Masonic Lodge #222 and the Mohammed Shrine.  Perlie was a wonderful husband and father.  He worked hard all of his life to give his family everything they needed.  Perlie also had a love for dogs, especially his Dude, Roscoe and Charlie.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Cremation rites will be accorded and there will be no services at this time.  Arrangements are under the care of Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
