Patricia Wright

Patricia Ann “Pat” Wright, age 78, of Chillicothe, passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2021 in Peoria.

Pat was born on January 19, 1943 in Decatur, Illinois to Robert M. and V. Marlette (Peck) Scherer.  She married Sam Wright in 1972.

Surviving are her husband, Sam, of Chillicothe; her children, James (Lisa) Wilson of Princeville, IL, Kim (James) Ely of Chillicothe, Jeff (Julie) Wilson of Peoria, and Angie (Mike) Birch of Chillicothe; nine grandchildren, Jamey Wilson, Josh (Katelyn) Ely and Jessie Ely, Miranda Donnelly, Elizabeth (James) Albers, Zachary (Lindsey) Wilson, Abigail Wilson, and Josie Birch and Braden Birch; and three great-grandchildren, David Albers, Declan Ely and Joshua Wilson.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Mike Scherer; and her son, David Wilson.

Pat worked for Vonachen Service Inc. in Peoria for a short time, but mostly she enjoyed raising her family.  She enjoyed painting, gardening and housecleaning.  Pat was a big supporter for her grandkid’s sporting activities and enjoyed watching their games.

Cremation rites will be accorded and a graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 10am at Chillicothe City Cemetery.  Memorials in her name may be made to the A.R.K. in Lacon.  Arrangements are under the care of Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
