Patricia Otto

Patricia Ann Otto, 84, of Leesburg, FL, formerly of Chillicothe, passed away at 5:42am Friday, Sept. 7, 2018 at Leesburg Hospital. Pat was born on Feb. 14, 1934 in Metamora, the daughter of Louis John and Anne Elizabeth (Schleich) Grieser. She was united in marriage to Robert D. Otto on June 8, 1957 at St. Edward Catholic Church, Chillicothe. Pat was a graduate of ISU in Bloomington and taught grade school vocal music and gave private piano lessons. She was a Den Mother for Cub Scouts, she was a High School Band Booster, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grand mother. She enjoyed plays, musicals, ballet, especially the Nutcracker Ballet. She is survived by two sons, Glenn (Diane) Otto of Keokuk, IA and Gregg of Leesburg, FL; granddaughters Sarah Otto, Shalea Otto Welty, Sadie Otto Crenshaw, and Megan Otto; five great grandchildren, Jade, Aria, Oscar, Roland and Warren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother, Fr. Aubert Grieser, O.F.M. She was a lifelong member of the Catholic Faith. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, Sept. 14, 2018 at 1:00 pm at St. Edward Catholic Church in Chillicothe. Msgr. Michael Bliss will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service time at the church. Burial will follow at the Chillicothe City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to St. Edward Catholic Church or IVC High School Band.
