Patricia Rose (Mason) Doering, 82, of Morton, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2015 in her home.
She was born to Karl and Lucille (Church) Mason on June 5, 1933 in Knightsville, IN. She married Gerald Charles Doering on March 18, 1950 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on August 15, 2012.
Patricia was also preceded in death by her parents.
Patricia is survived by five children, Gail (Tom) Rowe of Denver, CO, P. Sue D'Amore of Morton, Scott (Kathy) Doering of Rock Hill, SC, Mark Doering of Clayton, NC, and Christine Teuerle of Morton; five grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; her brother, Donald Mason of Spring Bay; brother in law, Harold (Beverly) Doering of Watchung, NJ; sister in law, Gladys Doering of Metamora; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Patricia was a stay at home mother, a hairdresser, and a police dispatcher. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Morton for over 15 years. She volunteered at Upscale Resale in Morton for 15 years and was the Queen of her Red Hat Society.
Patricia's family would like to specifically thank Home Instead and OSF Hospice for their compassion and care.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial mass for Patricia will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Morton at 11:00 AM. Msgr. Gerald Ward will officiate. Entombment will be held at a later date.
