Nancy Marshall

Nancy J. Marshall, age 80, of Peoria Heights, passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.

Nancy was born on July 30, 1940 in rural Peoria County to Marion and Mary (Mosher) Turner.  Surviving is her sister, Judy Spain; two nieces, Susan (Mark) Patton and Jeannie (Shawn) Goldring; one nephew, Michael (Michelle) Spain; as well as many great and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Nancy retired from the Peoria Public Library after 26 years.  While there she was the bookmobile assistant librarian.  She was a board member for the Peoria Heights Library, was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Peoria, and taught children’s classes at the Pottstown Presbyterian Church, where she started a puppet theatre ministry.  She enjoyed collecting Disney Cinderella collectables and snow globes and she enjoyed working in her flowerbeds.

Cremation rites will be accorded and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 10am at Bethany Baptist Church in Peoria.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial of ashes will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.  Memorials may be made to Bethany Baptist Church, the Illinois Cancer Center or OSF Richard L.
