Maydene Mason

Laudie Maydene Mason, age 93, of Mesa, AZ, formerly of Peoria, passed away at Emerald Grove Assisted Living in Mesa on February 26, 2017. She was born to Herbert and Myrtie Simmons on April 15, 1923 in Tracy, KY. She married Frank Mason on July 26, 1941 in Peoria. He preceded her in death in 1982. Maydene was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lorraine Reel; and brothers, Guy Simmons, Frank Simmons, and Bob Simmons. She is survived by her children, Larry (Laurie) Mason of Spring Lake, MI, Deb (Mark) Lindemood of Goshen, IN, and Greg (Kris) Mason of Mesa, AZ; and eight grandchildren. Maydene was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Peoria and worked at Book Emporium in Sheridan Village as the Hallmark lady for 20 years. A graveside service for Maydene will be held at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria on Saturday, April 29, 2017, time is to be determined.
