Mary "Joanne" Miller passed away peacefully surround by family in Chillicothe on May 4, 2015.
Joanne was born on June 17, 1934 in Chillicothe the daughter of Joseph and Vera (Gill) Rose. She married William "Bill" Miller on June 27, 1953 in Camp Chaffee, ARK.
Joanne was a member and very active with her church, First United Methodist Church of Chillicothe. She was a member of the Rebecca Circle, attending bible study and Sunday school, and helping with other activities in the church. Joanne loved to read and crossword puzzles, a crossword puzzle a day. She enjoyed the annual trip with her friends to Branson. She also loved and enjoyed being around her family. She was a Bears fan and more so, a diehard CUB fan.
Surviving are her children: Mitchell (Lynne Knack) Miller of Monticello, MN, Marty (Cindy) Miller of Lacon, and Laurie (Bill) Miller of Chillicothe; eight grandchildren: Justin Graze, Melissa Vanbruwaene, Jesse Miller, Morgan Poignant, Callie Miller, Joseph Miller, Ashley Durchholz and Amber Villiger; and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Monty and one brother Gerald.
Friends are invited to a visitation with the family from 5-7:00 PM on Thursday evening, May 7, 2015 at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home, Chillicothe. Rev. Ron Martz will be officiating. The funeral service will be conducted on Friday at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church, Chillicothe with a visitation one hour prior to the service time. The interment will follow at Chillicothe City Cemetery, Chillicothe. The family requests that memorial contributions in memory of Joanne be made to her church.
