Mary Knight

Mary Ann Knight, age 67, of Washington, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at her home. Mary Ann was born on May 5, 1951 in Trenton, Michigan to J. Dale and Mary L. (Colwell) Hart.  She married John C. Knight on June 1, 1969 in Chillicothe, IL.  He preceded her in death in November of 2015.  Also preceding her in death are her parents; her brother, Robert (Elaine) Hart; her step-father, Edward Bireline and her step-brother, Christopher Bireline. Surviving are her son, Michael S. (Tracie) Knight of Washington, IL; her granddaughter, Mya S. Knight; her sister, Genie (Robert) Hart-Johnson of Sneedville, TN; two step-brothers, Phillip (Pam) Bireline and Doug (Vivian) Bireline, both of the Chillicothe, IL; her step-sister-in-law, Jeana Bireline of Chillicothe, IL; her niece, Tanya Ordaz of Chillicothe, IL; her nephew, Paul Anthony Knight of Cleveland, OH; and several great-nieces and nephews. Mary Ann worked for Foster & Gallagher and was a member of the Peoria Genealogical Society.  Her favorite pastimes were genealogy and baking with her family. Cremation rites will be accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 2pm to 5pm at the VFW in Chillicothe.  Inurnment will be at Chillicothe City Cemetery at a later date.  Arrangements were handled through Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe.  Memorials may be made to the Chillicothe Historical Society or the Peoria Genealogical Society.
