Mary Vicenta Galindo,78, of Chillicothe, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2015 at her home in Chillicothe surrounded by her family.
Mary was born on July 24, 1937 in Chillicothe.
She married William Galindo, Sr. on September 11, 1955 in Chillicothe. He preceded her in death on Friday, February 5, 1999.
She is survived by: her children, Marcia (Russ) Mudd of Chillicothe, William "Billy" Galindo Jr. of Chillicothe, Diana (Jerry Martinez) Crothers of Tempe, AZ, Jon Galindo of Phoenix, AZ, Carmen (Jeff) Jenkins of Chillicothe, Kathy (Jim) Stenger of Kickapoo, Tony Galindo (Michelle Pomberg) of Chillicothe, Jamie Galindo of Chillicothe and Kelsey Orr of Chillicothe; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are 3 sisters Joanne Adams, Dora Gonzales and Rachel Espinosa all of Chillicothe and 1 brother Albert Ramos of East Moline.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Mary was a devout member of St. Edward Catholic Church.
Mary was a devout mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren. She was a great listener and devoted to God. She loved to dance and listen to music and had a lot of spunk, period! She was so much fun to be around. She was our rock and will be missed.
Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 2, 2015 at 11:30 AM at St. Edward Catholic Church. Fr. Keith Walder officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe from 4-7:00 PM, as well as one hour prior to the service at the church. Recitation of the Rosary will be conducted at 3:30pm on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be held at the Chillicothe City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Edward Catholic School.
