Marjorie A. Rodier, 78, of Chillicothe passed away on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018 at Lutheran Hillside Village, Peoria surrounded by her husband and children. Marge was born on May 30, 1940 in Brownwood, TX, to Herman and Etta Mae (Knight) Kerbow. She married Herbert J. Rodier on May 30, 1959 in Grand Prairie, TX. She met Herb while working at Chance Vought Aircraft in Grand Prairie, TX. Marjorie and Herb came to Illinois in 1962 when he joined Caterpillar. Surviving are her children, Theresa (Bill) Finerty, William (Nancy) Rodier, Christopher Rodier, and Amy (Tony) Matheny; 14 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Alvin (Kathy) Feldman of Rockledge, FL and Nate (Elaine) Feldman of Philadelphia, PA and a sister, Jeane Coren of Philadelphia, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one son, Michael. Marge was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, she was also an excellent cook and homemaker. She and her partner ran and operated a consignment store for two years in Chillicothe. Marge was an active member of St. Edward Catholic Church and School. Marge enjoyed traveling around the country visiting her relatives on the east and west coasts, as well as her beloved Texas. In her later years, she loved to take her grandchildren to Disney World. She also enjoyed shopping and home decorating and her many crafts. Marge's family would like to thank OSF Hospice, Lutheran Hillside Village, Emmanuel Place and Helping Hands Staff for their loving care. Marge's funeral mass will be held on Sat., October 13, 2018 at 10:00 am at St. Edward Catholic Church in Chillicothe. Mgsr, Michael Bliss will officiate. Visitation will be held on Friday evening at the church from 6-8:00 pm with a rosary at 5:45 pm. Burial will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery near Chillicothe. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to St. Edward Catholic School. Marge's online memorial website may be viewed at www.weberhurdfuneralhome.com
