Margo F. Hockenbury, 67, of East Peoria passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at her home.
Margo was born on August 6, 1948 in Davenport, Iowa. She was later adopted as an infant by Fred and Lula Klepper.
She is survived by daughters Michelle (Miller) Leggons of Springfield, MO and Jennifer Hockenbury of Peoria, IL; sons Frank Owens Jr. of Chillicothe, IL; Don (Lisa) Owens of East Peoria, IL, and Patrick Hockenbury of Peoria, IL; longtime friend Brenda Carty of Peoria, IL; and her 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Margo was preceded in death by her son; Keith Miller of Missouri, her brother Larry; Sister Marla; and her husband of 32 years, David Hockenbury.
Margo was in the food service for most of her life and later retired from Belwood. She had a dog named Sienna who she absolutely adored and who was by her side every step of the way. Margo had a passion for camping, fishing, coaching little league, and she was the #1 fan of both the St. Louis Cardinals and the Green Bay Packers. Margo enjoyed spending time with her family above anything else. She would always attend the sporting events of her grandchildren and be the loudest one cheering in the bleachers. Her family meant the world to her and she will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
