Maralyn Joann Nowlin, age 86, of Chillicothe, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 at Heritage Health in Chillicothe.

Maralyn was born January 7, 1935 in Chillicothe, IL to Charles "Elmer" and Ada "Lucille" (Laderer) Lucas. She married Ernest N. Nowlin on November 23, 1953 in Chillicothe and he preceded her in death in November of 1981. Also preceding her in death are her parents; her brother, Charles Lucas and her sisters, Fontilla Dillon and Shirley Sloan.

Surviving are her children, Randall Nowlin of Chillicothe, IL, Cindy (Phillip) Salata of Fort Myers, FL, Tina (Rick) March of Chillicothe, IL, Candi (Drew) Westgard of Derry, NH and Carol (Todd) Harney of Windermere, FL; her grandchildren, Ashley and Lindsay March, Zach Nowlin, Caitlyn and Logan Harney and Erica and Eva Westgard; and her brother, James Lucas of Chillicothe, IL.

Maralyn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed bowling at the Chilli Bowl, swimming down at Shore Acres, reading, crosswords puzzles and the fishing trips to Wisconsin. Maralyn also was well known for her pies.

A public visitation will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2021 from 3pm to 5pm at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Current Covid mitigations will be in effect with restrictions on face coverings and social distancing. A private family service will be held on Monday at the funeral home with burial following at Chillicothe City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
