Luke Tucker Siemers

Luke Tucker Siemers, age 16, of Chillicothe, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at his home.

Luke was born on June 11, 2006 in Peoria, Illinois to Timothy J. Siemers and Laurel B. Tucker-Siemers.  In 2019, he returned with his mom to Chillicothe from New Braunfels, Texas.  Luke loved Texas and while in Texas he was active in soccer, baseball and football.  He was also a member of Extreme Gymnastics and his team competed in the state competition.  Once Luke learned how to do a flip, the flipping never stopped.  If he could flip off of something, he did it.  He also enjoyed skateboarding, playing with his dog, Guppie the Pug, and going fishing with his Grandpa Siemers.  Luke also had a love of music and writing song lyrics.  Luke was a Junior at Illinois Valley Central High School in Chillicothe. 

He was always there for his friends.  If Luke was your friend, you had a loyal friend for life.  He had a big heart, a hilarious sense of humor and a grin that melted his family’s heart.  He will be greatly missed beyond words.

Surviving are his parents; Tim Siemers and Laurel Tucker-Siemers, both of Chillicothe; his brother, Drew P. Kelly of Hopewell, IL, his paternal grandparents, Roger and Suzanne Siemers of Tonica, IL; his  maternal grandmother, Sally McElhaney of Chillicothe, IL; his aunts and uncles, Robin (Greg) Foltynewicz, Carl Siemers, Amber Tucker-Fishel, Wendi (Chris) Spahn, Heidi Underwood and Ryann (Matt) German; his cousins, Nicholas and Jenna Foltynewicz, Tyler Maschek, Cameron “Cammi” Fishel, London Lawrence, Sinclair Stenson, Zachary, Sydney and Madyson Spahn, and Madelyn, Braeden and Lincoln German.  He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Tucker; his uncle, Todd Siemers; his aunt, Jimette Pruett; and his cousin, Jacob Fishel.

Cremation rites will be accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held a later date.  Memorials in Luke’s name may be made to the ARK or TAPS.  Arrangements are under the care of weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
