Lucille R. Cravens, age 80, of Lacon, passed away at Apostolic Christian Skylines on July 23, 2015.
Lucille was born on October 23, 1934 to John and Helen (Rae) Russell in Peoria. She married William L. Cravens on February 2, 1956.
Lucille is survived by two daughters, Luann Cravens and Sherry Cravens, both of Lacon. She was preceded in death by her son, parents husband, brothers, and sisters.
Lucille graduated from Sparland High School. She was a regular bowler at Lacon Lanes and was a wonderful gardener. Lucille owned horses and was a member of the Chillicothe Saddle Club, and rode in many parades.
The family would like to thank her caregivers at Apostolic Christian Skylines, Paul Fishkin and his team at Illinois Cancer Care, as well as the Infusion team at Heart Care Midwest. Lu was a great mother and Aunt who created a lot of fun for those who knew her. She will be missed.
A funeral service for Lucille will be held at 3:30pm on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Pastor Tim Beddingfield will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Chillicothe City Cemetery. Weber-Hurd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
