Lola Blankenship

Lola Mae Blankenship, age 89, of Chillicothe passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at her home.

Lola was born on August 24, 1931 in Tyronza, AR to Carl and Pearl (Roberts) Mathis.  She married Jack C. Blankenship on June 15, 1949 in Memphis, TN.  He preceded her in death on November 1, 1999.

Surviving are six children, Terry (Linda) Blankenship, Marcella Galetti, Paula (Larry) Gilmore, Charlie (Ann) Blankenship, Alan (Becky) Blankenship and Jeff Blankenship; one sister Joyce (Jerry) Kelly; 15 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Marla; two sisters and one brother.

Lola was a member of the Highlands Jehovah’s Witness Congregation.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at the Chillicothe City Cemetery at 11am.  Arrangements are under the care of Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
