Lois E. Sibert, 91, of Chillicothe passed away Jan. 28, 2017, at UnityPoint Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. Born on June 8, 1925, in Chillicothe to Chester D. and Delores E. (Brimmer) Hicks, she married Richard L. Sibert on Aug. 20, 1949, at Plymouth Congregational Church in Chillicothe. He preceded her in death on May 18, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are two daughters, Patrice (Joseph) Cox of Morton and Heidi (Rick Harper) Sibert of Mt. Prospect. Lois worked as a Deputy Clerk for the Peoria County Circuit Court for nearly 25 years. She was a dedicated volunteer at Parkhill Nursing Home, a member of the Ladies' Home Extension and enjoyed the Red Hat Society. She later was a charter member of Pearce Community Center, where she enjoyed a great game of cards. Lois' fun-loving spirit will be sorely missed by all who loved her. Lois and her late husband were devoted members of the Plymouth Congregational Church in Chillicothe, where she belonged to the Women's Fellowship. Friends and family are invited to a funeral service at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017, at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Chillicothe City Cemetery. Pastor Jeff Goard will officiate.
