Linda L. Snyder

Linda L. Snyder, age 70, of Chillicothe, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria. She is now with her Lord and reunited with her loved ones who preceded her in death.  

Linda was born on March 10, 1952 in Peoria, Illinois to Gerald Dean and Sarah Louise (Buckingham) Austin.  She married Thomas E. Snyder on July 3, 1976 in Peoria.

Surviving are her husband, Thomas; her daughters, Cynthia (Jeff) Wineinger of Hanna City, IL and Sarah Snyder of Chillicothe, IL; three grandchildren, Scott Olson, Daniel Hinshaw, Kayla Hinshaw; and her brother, Michael (Suzanne) Austin of Georgia. She has two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, John Austin; and her sister, Alma Katherine Nowak.

Linda was a hairdresser for many years and then, in 1986, decided to stay at home with her family.  Linda was also president of the local hairdresser’s union. She was a devoted Christian, wife, and mother. She will be remembered and missed dearly by her family and friends for all of her special, kind, and loving qualities, her strong faith, and her natural artistic talent.

A private family burial will be held at Pottstown Cemetery and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Memorials in her name may be made to Samaritan’s Purse.  Arrangements are under the care of Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
