Linda K. Bussell, 68, of Peoria (formerly of Chillicothe) passed into her eternal home on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Linda was born September 14, 1947, the daughter of Lawrence White and Katheryn McFarlin. She married Richard Bussell on July 21, 1972 in Peoria. He preceded her in death.
Surviving are: two sons, Tracy (Krystle) Bussell of Chillicothe, and Bryan (Cindy) Bussell of Pekin; one daughter, Danielle (Brian) Mullens of Bellevue; ten grandchildren, Ryan (Reba) and Blake Bussell of Pekin, Darien and Brook Bussell as well as Nathan Williams, all of Canton, Jeremy McDaniel of Chillicothe, Aimee (Corey) Dillingham of Peoria Heights, and William, Clayton, and Trinity Mullens, all of Bellevue; two sisters, Janet Long of Peoria, and Joy (Ed) Smith of Farmington; three brothers, Phillip (Linda) White of Georgia, Rick White of Morton, and Terry (Sharon) White of Oregon; and one brother-in-law, Donald (Joyce) Bussell of Streator. She is also survived by her father (and her spoiled poodle, Babe). She was also preceded in death by her mother and one brother, Lance Corporal Larry F. White.
Linda worked (and met her husband) at Herschel's Manufacturing in East Peoria as a machinist.
She was a Gold Star Sister, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and attended the First Baptist Church of Sparland.
A funeral will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Sparland. Friends and relatives are invited to the church for a visitation one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be at Sparland Cemetery following the service. Rev. Elaine Bolan of First Baptist Church, and Rev. David Gruber of WhiteRose Fellowship in Bellevue will be officiating.
