Lawrence Dehart

Lawrence E. Dehart, 76, of Chillicothe passed away surrounded by his family on February 14, 2015 at OSF Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Lawrence was born on August 2, 1938 in Harvard the son of Sandford and Vera (Odell) Dehart.

He is survived by his children, Jacqueline L. Troxell of Washington, Michale L. Dehart of Peoria, and Deborah J. (John) Nice of Burnet, TX; six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren; and one sister, Carol J. (John) Bredleu of Harvard; several nieces and nephews; and Dixie Malone, whom he made his home with for the past several years in Chillicothe. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Sharon Fash and Ann Filitz and both wife's, Marjorie and Marcia.

Lawrence worked in construction his entire life working for several different contractors, including Rick Hinck Builders. He was a member of the Radnor Rod and Gun Club, an avid NASCAR fan and he loved the outdoors especially with his pets and companion, Charlie. He loved to travel, visiting 48 states and his favorite place he continued to visit was Branson, MO.

A celebration of life will be held at Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at 12:00 noon at the Chillicothe VFW located at 1729 North Santa Fe Avenue, Chillicothe. Memorials may be made to the Donor's Choice.
