Kathryn George

Kathryn E. George, 95, of Chillicothe went to be with her Heavenly Father on March 18, 2017. She was born on June 2, 1921 in Spring Bay the daughter of Peter M. and Edna E (Joerger) Brautigam. She married the love of her life Michael George on December 23, 1945 in Peoria. He preceded her in death. She is also preceded by her parents, brothers, Harold, William, and Edward and a sister Eleanor M. Wilkins. Surviving are many nieces and nephews, including Carol Gelling who cared for her. Kathryn was a life long member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Peoria. She was a hard worker and took care of her husband through his illness. She worked for Scots Super Market, IGA and JCPenneys in Chillicothe. Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral service on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 11:00 am at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe.Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service time at the funeral home. Burial will be held in the Chillicothe City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's or to Trinity Lutheran Church in Peoria.
