Judith Timberlake

Peoria - Judith K. Timberlake, 64, of Peoria, IL, passed away at 3:21 am on Friday September 21, 2018 at her residence. She was born on July 23, 1954 in Galesburg, IL, the second of 4 daughters to Charles and Shirley Nott McCormick. She grew up on farms in Maquon and Rio, IL. She graduated from R.O.V.A. High School in 1972. She waitressed at Woodhull Truck Stop for over 10 years, before attending nursing school at Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg, IL. She worked as a pediatric registered nurse for the majority of her career, before retiring in 2017 due to illness. Pediatrics was her passion, she treated her patients like family. Judy also enjoyed cooking, baking, writing poetry, attending sports and music events of her children and grandchildren and planning and hosting family get togethers. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her life. Judy is survived by one son, Dr. Chad (Britany) Timberlake of St. Augustine, FL; one daughter, Denise Timberlake of Peoria, IL; 6 grandchildren, Andrew, Taylor, Kyleigh, Charlotte, Grayson, and Nora; two great grandsons, Jaxson and Logan; three sisters, Jackie Dempsey; Becky Becker; and Patty McQuigg, all of Peoria; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Tina and Sara; her parents; four grandparents; two brothers-in-law; and several aunts and uncles. She attended Northminster Presbyterian Church where funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday September 25th. Dr. Bob Jordan will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10-11 am prior to the services Tuesday at the church. Private family burial will be in Viola Cemetery in Viola, IL, immediately after the funeral. Graveside prayer will be given by Dean McCormick, uncle of the deceased.
