Joyce Lambert

Joyce Alma Lambert, 81, beloved by her family and friends went to be home with her Savior on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 7:37 p.m. at UnityPoint Health Proctor Hospital in Peoria. Joyce was born February 7, 1936 in Kewanee, the daughter of Scott and Sally Lyford. She graduated from Neponset High School. She married Harold Lambert on July 22, 1956. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie, and her parents. She is survived by one sister, Julie (Rich) Witte; three children, Scott Lambert, Lori (Bob) Hirth, and Lisa (Tom) Lair; nine grandchildren, Megan Lambert, Sara Lambert, Lizzy Policicchio, Nicholas Policicchio, Abby Hirth, Brandon Hirth, Skye Lair, Hunter Lair, and Alex Lair; and two great grandchildren, Noah Lambert and Nicholas Napolitano. Joyce trusted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in her teen years. She was a member of Mossville United Methodist Church where she sang in the church choir in her younger years and was active in church groups. She was a loving, devoted mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Joyce enjoyed playing in her neighborhood bridge group for many years with her amazing friends. She was also a member of Arrowhead Country Club, where she loved to golf. Her family would like to thank the very kind, sweet staff at UnityPoint Health Proctor Hospital, who took such great care of Joyce in her final days. Friends and relatives are invited to gather with family for a visitation on Sunday, March 12, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Memorials may be made in Joyce's honor to the family.
