Jessie L. Lady, age 97, of Chillicothe, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Heritage Health Care in Chillicothe.
Jessie was born on January 30, 1923 in Perryville, TN to Jesse and Lillian (McFall) Lance. She married Irvin K. Lady on January 31, 1942. He preceded her in death. Also preceded her in death are her parents, two brothers, five sisters, and her son, Michael Lady.
Surviving are her children, Irvin K. Lady, Jr., of Chillicothe, Ronald L. Lady of Chillicothe and Vicky Taylor of Houston, TX; her daughter-in-law, Mary Lady of Tomball, TX; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Jessie was a loving wife and mother and she loved cooking for her family. She enjoyed volunteering at Heritage Health and working in the deli department at IGA. Jessie was also a member of the Easter Star Lodge #10.
Cremation rites will be accorded and a graveside service will be held in the spring at Chillicothe City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Community Needs Agency in Chillicothe. Arrangements are under the care of Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
