Jeanine Y. Murphy, 83, of Sparland passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the Robert L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
Jeanine was born in Bradford on December 14, 1932 the daughter of Charles and Genevieve (Lynton) Harney. She married Jack Murphy on February 8, 1952 at the First United Methodist Church in Chillicothe.
She is survived by three Children: Mike Murphy of Niota, Tim (Diane) Murphy of Chillicothe and Tammy (Mike) Stumbaugh of Sparland; grandchildren, Amy (Ernst) Robinson, Adam (Rachel) Murphy, Tracy Smith, Katelyn (Justin) Schoch, Chelsy (Seth) Braun, and Jodi Stumbaugh; great grandchildren, Brooklin, Brody, Ally, Carly, Leah, Noah, Owen, Murphy, and Ella; and two brothers, James (Pam) Harney and Jack (Lynn) Hanrey. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sherry.
Jeanine was known for making delicious candy and pies. She was a seamstress and a member of the Steuben Homemakers Club that was in Sparland. Her family didn't want to admit it, but she was a garage sale addict, constantly going to garage and yard sales.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Richard L. Owens Hospice Home for their help and compassion with Jeanine.
Cremation rites will be accorded following a gathering of relatives and friends that will be held from 5-7:00 PM on Monday, April 18, 2016 at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
