CHILLICOTHE - James Clifton Bacchus, 89, of Chillicothe passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at his home. Born in Pope County, Arkansas on May 15, 1928. He married Winifred Irene Bertrand on February 25, 1951 in Creve Coeur, Illinois. She survives him. James served in the Air Force, but of even more importance he served in the Lord's army at Calvary Baptist Church in Chillicothe since 1959. His parents, 4 sisters,1 brother, 1 son-in-law (Rev. Brad Smith) preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife, 1 brother, and three daughters. Daughter Chrystal (Mark) Wallace of Bloomington with granddaughters Brandi (Jacob) Klink of Bloomington, Heidi (Jason) Krzeminski of Downs, and 6 great grandchildren. Daughter Pamela (Smith) (Ron) Brown of Morton with granddaughters Brittany (Barry) Ufheil of Washington and Summer Randecker of Lena, IL with 4 great grandchildren. Daughter Susan (David) Mannaioni with granddaughter Kiersten Mannaioni-Betterton and grandson Paul Mannaioni with 1 great grandchild. He worked for Kriegsman Trucking from 1952-1959. Then drove for Chillicothe Cartage until 1968 and finished his Teamsters career driving for Krogers retiring in 1970. He loved his family more than words could express. He started the bus ministry at Calvary Baptist Church in 1976 Retiring at age 80. He and his wife served the Lord faithfully and now he enter Heavens hearing, "Well done, good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joy of the Lord." Visitation and funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church, Cloverdale Road, Chillicothe, IL with visitation from 10-11 with funeral service at 11. Rev. Mark Wallace (son-in-law) and Rev. Curtis Cochran will officiate. James online memorial website may be viewed at www.weberhurdfuneralhome.com
