Jacob "Jake" Tucker Fishel, 19, of Chillicothe passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016 in Peoria.
Jake was born on September 30, 1996 in Peoria to Timothy H. Fishel and Amber L. Tucker.
Surviving are: his parents, both of Chillicothe; one sister, Cameron "Cammi" Fishel of Chillicothe; and maternal grandparents James F. Tucker Jr. and Sally A. McElhaney, both of Chillicothe. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harley and Marilyn Fishel.
Jake was a 2015 graduate of IVC High School in Chillicothe.
Jake worked at Menards in Peoria and formerly worked at Kroger in Chillicothe. Jake was a guest speaker for Youth Substance Abuse through Peoria Regional High School to organizations around the area.
He was known for his quiet smile and caring blue eyes. Jake was very empathetic towards others and loved animals. He loved to make people laugh. Jake had many obstacles and struggles in his life to overcome, yet persevered and found his way through Jesus Christ. Because of his devotion and love for Christ he enjoyed spreading the gospel through his written music.
Jake attended Northwoods Community Church in Peoria.
A funeral will be held for Jake at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 6, 2016 at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 4-7:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be held in the Chillicothe City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the ARK in Lacon or to Drew's Plots.
