Jack Fritzinger

Jack Daniel Fritzinger, age 79, of Chillicothe, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Country Comfort in Henry.

Jack was born on May 14, 1943 in Chillicothe to Eugene and Helen (Medearis) Fritzinger.  He married Betty Thonn on June 6, 1964 in Chillicothe.

Surviving are his wife, Betty; his sons, Donald Fritzinger and William (Shelly) Fritzinger, both of Chillicothe; three granddaughters and one great-grandson on the way.  Also surviving are a niece and nephew.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, David Daniel Fritzinger; two brothers and two sisters.

Jack worked for Caterpillar for over 31 years when he retired.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing; and was an avid sports fan, playing softball, basketball and bowling.  He was known around town for garden, especially his tomatoes.

Cremation rites will be accorded and a memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2022 from 1pm to 3pm at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe.  A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at Peoria Casting Club.  Memorials in his name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to SAMS Rescue.
