Harry L. Gillham, Jr., 74, of Peoria passed away on Monday. November 16, 2015 in Galesburg.
Harry was born on June 4, 1941 in Peoria to Harry L. and Stella M. (Davidson) Gillham.
Harry is survived by seven siblings in various states and his best friends, John Dusten and Jared N. Cook.
Harry had beautiful blue eyes. He was fiercely independent and a loyal friend. He was a great story teller. He loved his Mother. He enjoyed being outdoors and wrestling.
Harry worked the hot tar bucket in the roofing industry and was a member of the roofers Local 69. He had also worked for George Pasquel Co.
Cremation rites was accorded and a graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Cottonwood Cemetery where he will be buried with his mother.
Harry never met a stranger and was a friend to many homeless, needy and unloved people, so memorials may be made in his honor to the Peoria Rescue Mission.
Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean, I'll miss you until we meet again.
