Gerald Herron

Gerald Edward Herron age 62, of Peoria, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Gerry was born on December 31, 1957 in Peoria, IL to Earl and Carmen (Razo) Herron. Gerry attended St. Edward Grade School and Chillicothe High School. He enjoyed playing the guitar and was a talented artist, especially in sculpting. Gerry also enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

Surviving are his siblings, Larry (Kathy) Herron of Peoria, IL, Ron (Kathy) Herron of Champaign, IL, Sue (Gary) Weaver of Hopewell Estates, IL, Steven (Evelyn) Herron of Chillicothe, IL, William (Sharon) Herron of Chillicothe, IL, Maryann Gerig of Chillicothe, IL and Anita Elwell of Chillicothe, IL; his sister-in-law, Linda Herron of Chillicothe, IL; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death in his parents and his brother, David Herron.

Cremation rites will be accorded and a private graveside service will be held at Chillicothe City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
