George Carroll

George O. Carroll, 76, of Chillicothe passed away at his home in Chillicothe Monday evening, May 14, 2018. He was born on December 6, 1941 in Woodlawn the son of Charles and Martha (Riechman) Carroll. He married Bobbie Hill on November 9, 1968 in Chillicothe. She preceded him in death on June 12, 2009. Surviving are two sisters: Arletta Gaskins of Chillicothe and Luella McKinney of Tucson, AZ; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and a nephew Charles. George worked for Caterpillar, Inc. He was a US Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War from 1964 to 1966. He was a member of the American Legion Post 9 in Chillicothe. George was also a Mason, he belonged to the George Washington Lodge 222 AF and AM of Chillicothe, Scottish Rite - Valley of Peoria, and the Mohammed Shriners, Bartonville. A graveside service will be held on Friday morning, May 18, 2018 at 10:00 am at the Chillicothe City Cemetery in Chillicothe. Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
