Ellen Bledsoe

Ellen Ann Bledsoe, age 93, of Peoria passed away at Washington Christian Village on Wednesday, August 9, 2017. She was born to the late George and Mildred (Rynearson) Noble on August 21, 1923 in Peoria. She married Robert Bledsoe on June 21, 1942 in Peoria, and they celebrated 72 years of marriage before his passing on February 20, 2015. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, one sister, and one son-in-law. Ellen is survived by her daughters, Karen (Ron) McMullen of East Peoria, Kristi Pogue of Peoria, and Denise Martin of Peoria; grandchildren, Geoffrey Kirk of East Peoria, Jake Martin of East Peoria, Sara Martin of Peoria, Kevin (Tracy) Pogue of Peoria, Kim (Robert) Eacott of Gilbert, AZ, and Kyle Pogue of Denver, CO; and one great-grandchild, Cy Martin of Peoria. Ellen's happiest moments were with family, and her greatest joy was being a grandmother. Ellen worked as a secretary for Talman Home Federal until her retirement in 1985. She was a member of Arcadia Avenue Presbyterian Church in Peoria. A memorial service for Ellen will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 14, 2017 at First Federated Church in Peoria. Reverend Forrest Krummel will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
