Dorothy Bolte

Dorothy I. Bolte, 101, passed away in Nashville TN on Friday June 8, 2018. Dorothy was born on Mar. 21, 1917 in Nauvoo the daughter of John and Sadie (Bertschi) Hamman. She married Carl P. Bolte on Jan. 27, 1945 in Nauvoo. Surviving are her children: Jerome P. Bolte of Peoria, Stephan (Mary) Bolte of Hardwood Heights, Martha A. Bolte of Chillicothe, Joseph C. Bolte of La Salle CO, and Janet E. (Daniel) Cyr of Charolette, TN; three grandchildren; and a sister, Naomi Hendrickson of Carthage. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, who died on Oct. 27, 1998, and 9 brothers and sisters. Dorothy was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church and was known for her quilts that she made for the auctions. She loved to sew and read. When she got older she looked forward to her daily walks at Pearce Comm. Center. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Edward Catholic Church in Chillicothe. A visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 5-7:00 pm at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. A rosary will recited following the visitation. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Edward Catholic Church.
