Donald Womack

Donald V. Womack, 71, of Hopewell died Monday, September 14, 2015 at his home.

Donald was born in Rutherfordton, NC, the son of Joe and Gladys (Camby) Womack. He married Carolyn Seaman on July 2nd, 1979 in Idabel, OK. She survives.

Also surviving are: one son, Bryant Womack of Bear Creek, AK; one daughter, Melanie (Shannon) Schroyer of Byhalia, MS; two step-daughters, Terri (Rob) Davis of Lacon and Debbie (Mitch) Lishman of Hopewell; one sister, Carolyn (Lee) Biggerstaff of Rutherfordton, NC; one brother, Bill (Linda) Womack of Magnolia, TX; seven grandchildren, Garrett, Sarah, Faith, Jeremy, Ashleigh, Autumn, and Kaylee; and three great-grandchildren, Drake, Youmi, and Connor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one great-granddaughter, Kinley.

Donald worked for Caterpillar for 35 years before retiring. He enjoyed working in his yard, traveling, fishing, and tinkering with tractors and mowers. He also loved to watch, and even pray for, his Chicago Cubs.

A funeral will be held for Donald at 11:00am on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation the night before, Friday, September 18, 2015, from 5-7:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lacon City Cemetery. Pastor Dwight Winnett will officiate. Memorials may be made in Donald's honor to the American Cancer Society.
